Present: President Patrick Meyer, Board Members: Ann Gottlieb, Ralph Martire, David Latham, Roman Ebert, Barb Hickey, and Rich Moore.
Also Present: Superintendent Edward Condon and Anthony Cozzi, Director of Finance and Facilities.

Public Participation: none
Communication: Ann Gottlieb read a thank-you note from the Cunningham

family.

Freedom of Information Request: a request was received 9/16 from the Better Government Association (BGA), asking for information on Collective Bargaining, Administrators contracts, Legal settlements, Budget and Payroll. The request was responded to on 9/22/15.

Student Presenter: Danielle Lindsey, a 7th grade student from Roosevelt Middle School, presented her personal report of what it feels like coming to Roosevelt Middle School. She described what students will expect to experience and learn from the various academic subjects (language arts to math, science, social science, humanities, economics, and writing).

Consent Agenda includes: Minutes: Budget Hearing, Board of Education Meeting Sept 21, 2015, and Committee of the Whole, October 6, 2015, Payrolls, Orders relating to Payrolls, and Bills and Treasurer’s Report.

The Board approved the Consent Agenda.

Board Committees Reports:
Education - Rich Moore reported Education Committee meeting is scheduled for next week.
Personnel-Ann Gottlieb: items to be discussed in closed session. Policy - Barb Hickey: currently the first reading Finance/Equity Policies.
Ralph Matire (Facilities), Roman Ebert, and Patrick Meyer (Communication), no reports.

Outside/Other Meetings: OPRFHS Citizen’s Council: Rich Moore gave brief report: Freshman being mentored by selected Senior Leadership group.

IASB Governing Board: Ralph Martire encouraged attendance at the annual event of the Governing Board at the end of November in Chicago. District Meetings Agendas: Superintendent’s Leadership Council (SLC), District PTO Council, Inclusiveness Advisory Board, Green4Good, and Professional Development Council(PDC), (Oct. Board Packet pages 51-56 for details).

Informational Items: 1. 2014 Plan It Green Report Card: Gary Cuneen, Exec Director, from Seven Generations Ahead, reported about District 90’s participation in Plan It Green, (Oct. Board Packet pages 103-118 for full report). 2. HVAC Analysis-Sven Dahlquist Architecture, Inc. reported on various air conditioning schemes for district schools, focusing on concerns about the amount of cooling and the cost, (Oct. Board Packet pages 119-146 for details). 3. Summer School 2015 Overview and Report: Principal Julie Lamz (Bradford): for overview, parent and staff evaluations, and recommendations for 2016 Summer School, (Oct. Board Packet pages 147-163). 4. Strategic Planning Update, (Oct Board Packet pages 164-180). 5. Student Enrollment Statistics (Oct. Board Packet page 181) 6. Board of Education Recognition: of Lincoln Elementary School receiving the 2015 U.S. Department of Education National Blue Ribbon School Award.
