Lincoln School Recognized as a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School

Announcement and Celebration of Lincoln School's Special Recognition

The community is invited to a special celebration to commemorate Lincoln Elementary School being named as a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School by the Department of Education. Lincoln is one of only 16 schools in Illinois to receive this prestigious award. Lincoln’s recognition is based on its overall academic excellence and demonstration that all students can reach high levels of achievement.

The celebration will be held on Thursday, October 22 at 5 p.m. at Lincoln School in the Franklin Playground, 511 Park Avenue, River Forest.

Lincoln Principal Casey Godfrey and second grade teacher Pam Moriarty will attend the recognition ceremony on November 9-10, 2015 in Washington, DC. “The Lincoln School family works diligently to make sure that every student experiences success. We pride ourselves on the nurturing family environment that cares for all children while ensuring they receive superb academic instruction that is based on their individual needs,” said Casey Godfrey. “This award acknowledges the hard work of the entire Lincoln faculty and staff, and the leadership of Lincoln’s former principal, Pam Hyde. This recognition is such a fitting capstone to Pam as she concludes her career,” he continued.
