The village of Oak Park has posted a trio of openings for part-time administrative positions. Here's a look at what's offered:
The job: Executive secretary, planning and community development
The pay: $20 to $23 an hour, depending on experience. 15 to 17 hours per week.
The responsibilities: Mostly secretarial — assisting the public, ordering office supplies, receiving and sorting mail, compiling documents, etc.
Experience required: At least five years of work in a similar capacity.

The job: Employee relations assistant
The pay: $24 to $28 an hour, depending on experience. 15 to 17 hours per week.
The responsibilities: Helping the Human Resources staff investigate and document employee grievances, developing and delivering employee training programs, tracking certain expense reports, etc.
Experience required: At least five years in a similar capacity, preferably in municipal or corporate environment.
The job: Supervisor of community service workers
The pay: $15 an hour, roughly 6 to 12 hours per week.
The responsibilities: Supervision of those ordered to provide community service as part of the village's adjudication process, duties which include cleaning, washing village-owned vehicles, graffiti removal and other maintenance work.
Experience required: At least three years supervisory experience and some computer skills.

Village officials say all applicants will need to complete a structured interview and pass a few online tests that measure customer service aptitude and computer proficiency. Applicants will also be screened for drugs and alcohol.
