Man Assaults, Tries To Grab Woman In Oak Park

Police say the attacker fled when the woman started screaming.

OAK PARK, IL — Police say a man shoved a woman and tried to grab her as she walked along Austin Blvd. in Oak Park. The man was walking in the same direction as the woman when he said, "Don't worry about it; just walk with me," according to police

The victim began screaming when the suspect tried to grab her and he fled. The offender was last seen heading north on Austin and then west on Ontario, police say.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6' tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black scarf and a red jacket.
