Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Oak Park Shooting
A man from Chicago's Austin neighborhood wounded a person Sunday, police said.

OAK PARK, IL — A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting Sunday in Oak Park, police said. A 43-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his arm at about 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Austin Boulevard, according to police.
Marcelino Ruiz, 39, of Chicago's Austin neighborhood, has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a handgun, police said.
Officers found a handgun on the roof of Ruiz's building, police said.

The 43-year-old man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, and was later released for questioning, police said.
Ruiz is being held on $1 million bond, police said. He's scheduled to appear back in court April 1.
