Man Hit With Gun, Beer Bottle, Robbed In Oak Park: Cops

OAK PARK, IL --- An Oak Park man was ambushed by two men, hit with a beer bottle, and struck with a handgun, and robbed as he was walking into his apartment building Saturday night. The attack and robbery took place in the 900 block of Pleasant, according to a police report.

The victim told police he was hit with a beer bottle by one suspect and then hit with the bottom of a revolver by a second suspect. Police say the man fell and the suspects then went through his pockets.

The suspects stole the man's wallet, which contained IDs, a Chase debit card, and other cards. They also reportedly stole cash from the wallet, along with the victim's keys and cellphone before fleeing.

The total loss was estimated at $425 dollars.
