Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Oak Park: Police

Police say the suspect approached the man as he was walking down the street around 3 a.m.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park police say a man was robbed at gunpoint as he walked down a street early Friday morning. The armed robbery took place in the 100 block of Garfield, according to police.

The victim told police he was walking eastbound on Garfield when a man came up to him and showed a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim's belongings, police say, and the victim handed over his wallet, which contained cash and credit cards.

Police say the suspect was last seen heading eastbound across Austin before heading eastbound on Railroad.
