Man Tries To Lure 12-Year-Old Girl In Berwyn: Cops

BERWYN, IL --- Police in Berwyn are asking the public for help after a man tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his car Tuesday morning. The victim told police she was on her way to school just before 8 a.m. when a man in a gray minivan with tinted windows pulled up to her in the 3700 block of Ridgeland and told her that her dad had asked him to pick her up.

According to police, the girl kept walking away from the minivan, which was last seen heading south on Ridgeland.

The suspect is described as a man between 40 and 45 years old with a medium build and messy brown hair. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved blue shirt and sunglasses on top of his head.
