Masked Armed Robber Steals Cash From Oak Park Store: Cops

OAK PARK, IL --- Oak Park police are investigating an incident in which a store was robbed at gunpoint Friday. Police say the armed robbery took place at approximately 8:15 a.m. in the 600 block of South Blvd.

The victim told police that a man in a ski mask entered the store and had his right hand in the pocket of his jacket to suggest that he had a gun. The suspect then went behind the counter and demanded that the cashier give him cash.

The victim complied and the suspect fled and was last seen heading south on Euclid. The total loss was estimated at $592.
