Masked Bike-Riding Robber Snags Purse, iPhone In Oak Park: Police
A man on a bicycle reportedly stole the purse and phone in broad daylight.
OAK PARK, IL --- Oak Park police say a woman's purse was stolen by a masked man who was riding a bike early Monday. The robbery was reported just before 7:30 a.m. in the 200 block of N. Taylor.
According to police, the victim was walking down the street when someone on a bicycle rode up and approached her from behind. The suspect allegedly grabbed the woman's purse and iPhone X before biking east on Ontario.
The woman's purse reportedly contained a black Coach wallet, along with the victim's ID and credit cards. Police say the total loss was valued at $1,105.
