Men Force Their Way Into Car, Rob Victim In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL --- Oak Park police are searching for two men who allegedly forced their way into a vehicle and robbed its driver Monday morning. According to police, the driver, a Bolingbrook resident, was parked in the 300 block of S. Austin at 9:10 a.m. when a man opened the unlocked door and began to hit them several times.

Police say the suspect then restrained the driver by putting them in "a hold" while another male suspect opened the passenger door and began to steal items from the victim. The second suspect allegedly stole a gray Apple iPhone 7 and a wallet containing cash and miscellaneous credit and debit cards.

The total loss was estimated at $870.
