New Signage Highlights Athletico Physical Therapy's Commitment to Keep Chicagoland Residents Healthy, Active and Pain-Free

The Athletico Physical Therapy name and signage are expanding throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Chicago— The Athletico Physical Therapy name and signage are expanding throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs announcing the next phase of the company’s commitment to treat people of all ages and help them return to doing the things they love. Whether that’s playing catch with the kids, working at a computer, running a marathon or winning a hockey championship, Athletico’s specialists can treat anything from everyday aches and pains to more debilitating injuries.

The Oak Brook, Ill.-based company began expanding in the Chicagoland market in December 2014 when it acquired Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, which includes local physical therapy provider Newsome. By the end of this year, all Accelerated and Newsome facilities will become Athletico facilities creating a unified brand and reaching a greater number of patients with a wider range of services.

“As one unified company, we have strengthened our commitment to offering highly trained and skilled therapists who provide high-quality clinical care and customer service,” said Mark Kaufman, President/CEO. “Patient satisfaction, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement are at the core of Athletico’s values, and our patients can be assured of that commitment from the moment they walk in the door until they finish therapy and are healthy, active and pain-free.”

Athletico is committed to being an active member of the communities it serves by providing post-race stretching at endurance events, athletic training services at soccer games or through charitable giving contributions.

“We are proud to provide the best care with the most convenient locations in the Chicagoland community,” said Kaufman. “Together, we hope we can make a difference in people’s lives.”

In addition to offering more traditional physical therapy services, Athletico offers extensive Industrial Rehabilitation services to help educate employees on safe working habits and encourage work environments where injuries are preventable. Industrial Rehabilitation services include Work Conditioning, Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), Post-Offer Pre-Employment Testing, Job Analysis, Ergonomics and Injury Prevention Programs.

Making a difference and producing results are critically important to Athletico, which uses a third-party assessment company called FOTO. FOTO measures patient satisfaction and functional outcomes, and surveys indicate that 99 percent of patients would recommend Athletico to a friend.
