Oak Park Church Burglarized, Thousands In Electronics Stolen
Police say the burglars stole multiple iPods, tablets, and laptops from the church.
OAK PARK, IL --- Police in Oak Park are looking for leads after burglars broke into a local church and stole several laptops, iPods, and other electronic items.The burglary took place sometime between Monday and Tuesday at Cornerstone Church, located at 171 N. Cuyler Ave., police say.
The victim told police the church was burglarized between the hours of 4:33 p.m. on Monday and 5:42 a.m. Once inside, the suspect or suspects removed the following items:
- 3 Apple iPads
- 5 Apple iPods
- 1 Apple iPhone 6 Plus
- 2 HP Chromebook 11 G4 laptops
- 1 Dell laptop
- 1 Asus laptop
- 1 Lenovo tablet
- 10 charging cords
- 1 bluetooth speaker
The total estimated loss was more than $2,500. Anyone with information is urged to call Oak Park Police at 708-434-1636.
