Oak Park District 97 Seeks Interim Lincoln Elementary Principal
The interim principal will replace Dr. Lisa Carlos, who resigned to take a position in Des Plaines.
OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park Elementary School District 97 is seeking an interim replacement for Dr. Lisa Carlos, who announced her resignation as principal of Lincoln Elementary School on June 18. The district hopes to find a candidate to present to the Board of Education at its August 14 meeting, according to Senior Director of Policy, Planning and Communication, Chris Jasculca.
Jasculca said in an email that District 97 will post the position both internally and externally in the upcoming week. The interim principal would be in office during the 2018-2019 school year.
After the 2018 ends, District 97 says it will work on finding a permanent replacement for Carlos. The district plans to involve parents, students, and staff in the decision-making process.

Dr. Carlos's last day with District 97 was June 21. She will now serve as principal for Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines.
