Oak Park To Hold Forum On Parking Pilot Program
Oak Park officials are holding a public forum on Jan. 29 to get input on the proposed parking pilot program.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park officials are inviting residents to give their input on a parking pilot program they hope to launch in the coming months. The public meeting will be held on Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. at Brooks Middle School, 325 S. Kenilworth.
The meeting will be presented by village officials and resident volunteers who are part of the Transportation Commission, along with a the village's consultant, Dixon Resources Unlimited.
According to a post on the Village of Oak Park website, the forum will cover feedback and explain current recommendations for the parking pilot program. The program would test multiple parking strategies over a nine month period in the area from South Boulevard south to Harrison Street and from Harlem Avenue east to Oak Park Avenue.

Officials say they selected this area due to its prevalence of commuter, single-family, business, and multi-family parking needs.
After the meeting on Jan. 29, officials will regroup to decide whether or not to launch the program. The village is encouraging residents throughout Oak Park to attend this meeting.
