Oak Park Library Board Looks to Decrease Property Taxes for Residents
Less money will be needed to pay off the library's debt over the next five years.

The Oak Park Library’s 2016 strategic plan proposes a decrease in the amount of money the library collects from taxpayers over the next five years.
Less money will be needed to pay off the library’s debt, according to the Chicago Tribune, and after the year 2020, the debt is expected to be eliminated.
Library board members are also working through the strategic plan to make the library and its services more accessible.
