Oak Park Police Warn Of Garage Burglary, Porch Theft

OAK PARK, IL — Thieves stole valuables from a garage and front porch in Oak Park last week, police said. A package was stolen from the 900 block of N. Austin Wednesday in the early afternoon hours, according to a summary report by Oak Park police. The package contained a $220 pair of Nike shoes.

Then on Thursday night, a suspect broke into a garage in the 1000 block of S. Lombard, police said. The burglar pried open a side door and stole a bicycle inside.

The items have not been recovered, and no arrests have been made.
