June 26 is the next date for the Oak Park River Forest Gangster Tour. Times are 11 am and1:30 pm. This exterior tour visits 14 homes that were previously owned by major hoodlums such as Tony Accardo and Sam Giancana. I will discuss the criminal career of the former owner, the interesting features of each home (I have been in 10 of them) and the family's time there. The tour lasts more than two hours and is a deep immersion into the history of organized crime in Chicago. It is by minibus. The bus departs from and returns to the Oak Park Visitors Center, 1010 Lake St. , Oak Park, IL, 60301.
