OAK PARK, IL --- Four Oak Park-River Forest High School seniors were recently awarded full scholarships by the Posse Foundation for 2019. Aaliyah Brown, Ev Berger-Wolf, Mariama Sidime, and Evan Kelly were among 10 students nominated by OPRF High School administrators. They were chosen for the Posse scholarships after a three-part evaluation process by the foundation.
Brown, who plans to attend Cornell University, said in a statement that she felt "really proud to represent my school and my community, and go to a really prestigious college." Sidime will attend Pomona College, Berger-Wolf and Kelly plan to attend Middlebury College.
In a press release, OPRF High School Superintendent Dr. Joylynn Pruitt-Adams commended all four students who received the scholarships. Four students is the greatest number of students to receive Posse Foundation scholarships in a year. Pruitt-Adams said, "That not just one but four of our students were selected is an extraordinary achievement."
