Oak Park Township Embraces Transition to New Township Manager

The Township and the Board move forward to explore options for transition.

The Oak Park Township Board of Trustees has accepted Gavin Morgan’s resignation as Township Manager. He will now be the Village Administrator for Indian Head Park Illinois. His last day with the township will be July 14th. Mr. Morgan submitted his resignation on Monday, June 26th and the Board discussed the upcoming transition at their regular meeting Tuesday the 27th.

On behalf of the Board, Supervisor Clarmarie Keenan stated, “We are very proud and happy for Gavin and the next step in his professional journey. He has our respect, gratitude, and tremendous appreciation for his fifteen years of service to the community. The Board is thankful for his passion, dedication, and spirit.”

There will be no further comment from the Township at this time. As the Township and the Board move forward to explore options for transitioning to new leadership, Senior Services Director, Pam Mahn and Youth and Family Services Director, Megan Traficano, will provide oversight of daily operations.
