An Oak Park native who recently became the owner of Serenity Acupuncture is issuing an invitation for the public to attend an Open House on Thursday, February 19th, at the practice, 503 Madison St.

The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature drawings for gift cards and other prizes from a variety of local businesses, including Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Maya Del Sol, Red Mango, Cucina Paradiso and Divine Consign.

Annie Grimes Spindler selected the date because it coincides with the Chinese New Year. She is calling the event “A Chinese New Year Celebration” and will be giving guests a variety of prizes from Serenity Acupuncture as well as other businesses throughout the community.

Prizes will be awarded at regular intervals throughout the evening. In addition, appetizers and drinks will be served for guests of all ages.

“I absolutely love playing a role in giving people relief from whatever is ailing them, and helping them to attain their health goals,” Spindler said. “I have been received so warmly since taking over the reins of Serenity Acupuncture. This event is one way to express my thanks, to answer questions people may have and to declare how committed I am to serving the many needs that people have.”
