Officials: Help Us Assess Flood Damage in Oak Park

Water-damaged items can be trashed until Monday without pink refuse stickers.

Residents who had property ruined by recent flooding are being asked to help Oak Park and the Cook County Department of Homeland Security assess the damage.

Data collection forms are available online and must be returned by Thursday, Aug. 4. They can also be faxed to (708) 383-9584 or emailed to cole@oak-park.us.

Water-Damaged Item Pickup on Monday

Debris, carpet and furniture damaged by flood waters can be left out for pickup in normal collection areas in Oak Park on Monday, Aug. 1 without the normally required pink refuse stickers, village officials said. Carpet should be rolled and no more than 4-feet long and trash should be bagged.
