Open Door Theater Presents Songs from 'The Singing Detective,' Jan. 22
Put on your trench coat and hear the soundtrack, cabaret-style, from the famous BBC TV series and American pop standards Sunday, Jan. 22.
OAK PARK, IL -- Fans of the 1986 BBC series, “The Singing Detective,” are in for a treat, this Sunday, Jan. 22, at Oak Park’s Open Door Theater.
Sara Stern, Dana Brown and Erich Buchholz will sing the soundtrack from the famous British TV series in an intimate cabaret-style setting. In addition to songs from “The Singing Detective, audience members will hear such songs from the Great American Songbook as "I've Got You Under My Skin,” “Blues in the Night,” “Accentuate the Positive, Paper Doll,” “Lili Marlene,” "It Might As Well be Spring,“ "Bei mir bist du schoen" and more
The show starts at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for open seating. Online purchase is strongly suggested at Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets will be available at the door unless sold out.
