OPRF Chamber to Present 1st Annual Business Spotlight Awards

The OPRF Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 1st Annual Business Spotlight Awards will be presented at the October 18, 2016 Business After Hours to be held from 5-7pm at Woodlawn Cemetery (corner Des Plaines Ave. and Cermak Road in Forest Park).

This exciting new event has been created to recognize excellence in local businesses and awards will be presented in the following categories:

- Green/Sustainable

- Best Customer Experience

- Innovation in product, service delivery or collaboration (public/private, for profit/not for profit)

- Integrated Marketing – best use of different media delivery platforms

- Community Character – business that epitomizes the spirit of the community

- Investment/Development – special new development or adaptive re-use projects

Award nominations were made by the public through the Chamber website and nominees had to actively acknowledge and accept their nomination to be eligible to win.

Nominees did not have to be members of the OPRF Chamber to be eligible and the program was open to all businesses in Oak Park and River Forest. Winners will receive a one year free membership in the OPRF Chamber as part of their prize.

Response to the program was overwhelming with 120 businesses receiving a total of over 380 nominations in the various categories! Come out to this free event to see who are the big winners!
