The Oak Park River Forest High School Special Olympics basketball team defeated West Leyden High School, 22-14, in the annual Special Olympics basketball game.
The two teams have been squaring off for 18 years in this all-school event, said Karin Sullivan, spokesperson for Oak Park River Forest High School.
The game took place March 6 in the OPRFHS fieldhouse.

During the game’s halftime, the OPRFHS wresting team was recognized for its victory in the class 3A state championship last weekend.
