Pair Uses Dead Person's Info To Buy Porsche In Oak Park

Police said a man and a woman used a deceased person's information to open a line of credit for nearly $50,000.

OAK PARK, IL — Police are looking for a man and a woman who used a deceased person's information to buy a Porsche in Oak Park. The suspects took the vehicle, a black 2012 Porsche Panamera from a Volvo dealership in the 1100 block of Garfield on Dec. 5, according to a police summary.

According to police, the man and women bought the Porsche by opening a line of credit in the name of a deceased person. The dealership's total loss was estimated to be $46, 304.23.

The first suspect was described as a 30-year-old black male with short black hair with a small ponytail. The victim told police the man was 5'4" tall weighed 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a fedora.

Police say the second suspect was described as a black female, but no further description was available.
