Peep Parading Pooches At Mutt Strut In Oak Park
Animal Care League's 2nd Annual Mutt Strut Saturday at 10 a.m. in Oak Park. Contests include muttiest mutt and best owner-dog costume.

OAK PARK, IL — Dozens of pattering paws will trod the trails at Maple Park Saturday for the Animal Care League's 2nd Annual Mutt Strut. The park will transform into a dog lover's dream as costumed pets compete for prizes, play musical chairs, and vie for the honor of being the best mutt. All proceeds from the event go to improving the lives of shelter animals.
The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. when participants and their pooches set out for a 1.5 mile walk. After the strut, the cute canines can relax with a personal massage. Their humans will be kept occupied by live music and food as they prep for the Mutt Strut's contests.
