Person Robbed On CTA Train In Oak Park: Police

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park Police are investigating an incident in which a person was robbed by two men while trying to get off the CTA train early Tuesday, police say. The robbery reportedly took place just before 2 a.m. as the train pulled into the Austin blue line stop.

The victim told police that they attempted to exit the train, but two men blocked the train door and demanded the victim give them money. According to police, the victim noticed one of the suspects repeatedly reaching toward the right side of his waist, which led him to believe they were armed.

Police say the men made off with about $40 in cash from the victim. The suspects were last seen getting off the train at the Harlem stop.
