Planning for Important Health Care Decisions
Attorney Mark Epstein on Advanced Directives
On Sunday, January 25th, 2015 from 1:30 to 3:00 at the Oak Park Library, attorney Mark Epstein will speak about Advance Directives. Advance care planning involves learning about the types of decisions that might need to be made, considering those decisions ahead of time, and then letting others know about your preferences, often by putting them into an advance directive.
Mr. Epstein, of Epstein and Epstein, concentrates his practice in the areas of mental health, guardianship, and elder law. In October 2011, Leading Lawyers Magazine named him one of the top ten elder law attorneys in Illinois. He has published in leading publications including in the Illinois Bar Journal and the CBA record; he has litigated leading mental health law cases in Illinois, including the case that tested the constitutionality of authorized involuntary psychotropic medication. This event is free and registration is not necessary, and is sponsored by NAMI Metro-Suburban. NAMI MS is an advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with mental illness, their family and friends, within west suburban Cook County.
