Pleasant Home Foundation Hosts Valentine's a Cappella Performance

An Octave Above will present its show "Songs About Love" at 7:30 on Feb. 14.

The Pleasant Home Foundation is pleased to announce a Valentine’s a Cappella performance featuring acclaimed group An Octave Above. They will present their show “Songs About Love” while delighting the audience with talented singing, impressive musical arrangements, dynamic stage presence and humorous antics.

The evening will begin a wine and chocolate reception in Pleasant Home’s historic Great Hall while magician Jeanette Andrews charms guests with strolling magic. An Octave Above will take the stage at 7:30pm. Most of the eight members of the group are current or former members of the Chicago Symphony Chorus.

More details and tickets are available at pleasanthome.org for $30 each ($25 for Foundation members). Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Pleasant Home Foundation and its work to preserve, restore and operate Pleasant Home, a National Historic Landmark.
