Police Blotter: Oak Park

THEFT Keys and a wallet containing about $40 were stolen Aug. 24 from an apartment in the 1100 block of Ontario Street.

THEFT A vehicle registration sticker was stolen about Aug. 28 from a vehicle parked in the 430 block of Wisconsin Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT Two cell phones valued at $900 were stolen Aug. 31 from an AT&T Wireless store, 425 N. Harlem Ave.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE The rear windshield wiper of a black 2010 SUV parked in the 30 block of South Boulevard was broken about Sept.  2.

BURGLARY An iPhone and cash were stolen about Sept. 2 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1100 block of South Highland Avenue.

BURGLARY About 30 CDs and DVDs were stolen Sept. 3 from an unlocked Chevrolet SUV parked in the 300 block of Superior Street.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE A rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of North Harvey Avenue was broken about Sept. 3.

BURGLARY Jumper cables were stolen during a break-in of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of North Humphrey Avenue about Sept. 3.

RETAIL THEFT Chaka Richardson, 24,  2632 N. Spaulding Ave. in Chicago, was charged in connection with a retail theft at the CVS Pharmacy, 345 W. Madison St., police said.

DUI ARREST Andrew Huber, 29, 413 S. Harvey Ave., was charged with drunken driving after a Sept. 4 traffic stop in the 430 block of West Madison Street, police said.

BURGLARY ARREST Anthony Veal, 43, 1115 N. Central Ave. in Chicago, was arrested Sept. 4 in connection with a residential burglary that took place in the 1000 block of North Taylor Avenue, police said. 

DUI ARREST Shaquita Smith, 26, was charged with aggravated drunken driving after a Sept. 4 traffic stop in the 700 block of West Madison Street.

BIKE THEFT An unlocked pink and maroon girls mountain bike valued at $50 was stolen Sept. 4 from the back yard of a home in the 700 block of South Home Avenue. 

BIKE THEFT A locked, blue and gray mountain bike valued at $310 was stolen Sept. 4 from the 1100 block of Lake Street.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT Black spray paint was used Sept. 4 to vandalize a Park District of Oak Park shed at 610 S. Ridgeland Ave.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE The lock of a garage in the 1100 block of South Taylor Avenue was damaged Sept. 4 with a pry bar.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE The driver's side mirror of a 200 Saturn sedan parked in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard was damaged about Sept. 4.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE A basement window of a home in the 400 block of South Lombard Avenue was broken Sept. 5.

BIKE THEFT A locked red mountain bike was stolen Sept. 5 from a rack in the 200 block of Harrison Street.

THEFT ARREST A 9-year-old Chicago boy was arrested  Sept. 5  in connection with a bicycle theft that took place in the 1100 block of South Scoville Avenue.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE Four locks were damaged Sept. 5 at a home in the 1000 block of Highland Avenue.

BIKE THEFT A men's bicycle locked to a fence and valued at $260 was stolen Sept. 6 from outside Oak Park-River Forest High School.

THEFT ARREST A Chicago juvenile was arrested Sept. 6 in connection with a theft that took place at Starbucks, 711 Lake St., police said.
