Prices Going Up for River Forest Vehicle Stickers

No sticker? Expect to pay more - and a ticket on your windshield.

If you own a car in River Forest and haven't gotten your vehicle sticker, you will have to pay more for that tag - and you could get a ticket to boot.

The grace period to get that sticker without paying a late fee - and possibly getting a $30 citation - is long past.

Any car registered in Illinois to a River Forest address - even if kept in the garage or rarely driven - must get and display a current vehicle sticker on the lower right hand corner of the windshield.

Until Aug. 14, the cost of vehicle stickers is as follows:

  • Passenger cars, motorcycles and mopeds, $55;
  • Senior citizens, $35 (one car per household);
  • Trucks, B-Plate vans and recreational vehicles, $60.

Add another $15 for that price after Aug. 14. And then another $20 if you don't have it after Oct. 14.
