Restaurant Alert: Two Brothers Social Tap Eyes May Opening in Oak Park

Two Brothers Social Tap will feature the company's signature craft beers and a menu of high-end pub fare that will be made from scratch.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park residents will soon have a new spot to sip craft beer and nosh on housemade organic eats. Two Brothers Social Tap is set to open in downtown Oak Park as early as May. Two Brothers Social Tap will occupy the building where Marion Street Cheese Market was located.

The village board of trustees unanimously approved a liquor license for Two Brothers Social Tap on April 17, Chicago Tribune reported. Co-founder Jason Ebel told the Chicago Tribune that they’re aiming to have the restaurant open for business by Memorial Day, with a grand opening event slated for June.

Though the new restaurant will not have a brewery onsite, Two Brothers Social Tap will have plenty of Domaine DuPage, Pin Ball and Wobble, three of the company’s most famous brews. The drink menu will also include distilled spirits and coffee. The edible fare will focus on high-end appetizers and entrees that are sustainably sourced. Every edible item on the menu at Two Brothers Social Tap will be made from scratch, from the house-ground burgers to the beer cheese and dipping sauce.

Two Brothers Social Tap got its building permit the same day the liquor license was issued, so things are moving fast on the new restaurant. After some easy renovations and the addition of a cafe to the space, the new space should be open for Oak Park villagers to enjoy, Ebel told Chicago Tribune.

The Warrenville-based Two Brothers Brewing already has several locations throughout the western suburbs and is planning to open a multipurpose campus in Warrenville in 2019.
