Over the past week we have also received two reports of separate incidents in which the victim’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle, causing minor damage. In both incidents, the occupants of the offending vehicle (described as male black subjects in their 20’s) approached the victim’s vehicle on foot to “exchange Information” or “check vehicle damage.” In both reported incidents, the victim felt the crash was not accidental and the subjects had other intentions, possibly using the crash as a false pretense to get the victim out of their car.
If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident and feel unsafe, you can call 911 or drive directly to your local police station to make the report. As always, be aware of your surroundings, trust your instincts and please call 911 to report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
Note: The above subjects are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
