River Forest's New Assistant Administrator to Start Monday

New Assistant Village Administrator starts Monday, Sept. 16.

A new assistant village administrator will join the Village of River Forest Monday. 

The village last month hired Lisa Scheiner, who previously served as the Assistant Village Administrator for the Village of Burr Ridge.

“I am excited to have Lisa as a part of the management team in River Forest,” Village Administrator Eric Palm said in a statement. “Lisa brings a lot of experience to the table in many of the key functional areas we were looking for such as human resources, labor relations and risk management. Lisa is a strong believer in delivering exceptional customer service which will serve us well in River Forest. She will be a positive addition to the team.”

As part of her duties, Scheiner will oversee the Village’s building department as well as manage the Village’s human resource, health benefit, labor relations, information technology and risk management functions. She will also assist the Village Administrator with managing the Village’s budget and economic development initiatives, according to a news release from the Village of River Forest.

“Throughout the process I was, and continue to be, impressed by the professionalism and commitment to service displayed by the River Forest staff and Board of Trustees," Scheiner said in a statement. "I am eager to join the team and work closely with Mr. Palm to accomplish the Board’s goals and preserve the community’s high quality of life.”

Scheiner has worked for the Village of Burr Ridge for the past ten years. Prior to that, she worked for the Village of Orland Park and the City of St. Charles. 

She earned a bachelor of arts and a master of arts in public administration both from Northern Illinois University. She is a member of the Illinois City/County Management Association and the Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association.
