Friends of Sarah’s Inn danced the night away to live music at the local non-profit’s Rock Out for Sarah’s Inn fundraiser last week. Over 100 guests attended the event, which was hosted by FitzGerald’s Nightclub in Berwyn. Over $11,000 was raised for Sarah’s Inn’s critical services for survivors of domestic violence and their families, community education programs, and violence prevention programs for youth.
"We are so thankful for the generosity and support of our community," said Executive Director Carol Gall. "The proceeds from this event truly make a difference for the families we serve."
Local bands The Contractors and The Walter Mitty Jazz Band performed free of charge and volunteers ran the event’s activities. As a result, all proceeds from ticket sales and prize drawings went directly to Sarah’s Inn. In addition, an anonymous supporter matched all event contributions dollar for dollar.

Importantly, Rock Out for Sarah’s Inn raised awareness about the need for Sarah’s Inn’s services for families in the community and introduced new supporters to the agency.
“We are so thrilled to be able to introduce new people to Sarah’s Inn through this event and share the amazing impact of the organization,” said Sarah’s Inn Board member Kristen Reale. “It was a night to relax, have fun and celebrate the incredible work of Sarah’s Inn.”
