Free Slurpee Day: Get A Free Treat At Illinois 7-Eleven Stores

ILLINOIS — There are dozens of 7-Eleven locations throughout Illinois, and if you stop by one of them today, you can get a free treat. Yes, Wednesday is 7-Eleven Day, better known as free Slurpee day.

From 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. today only, while supplies last, customers can get a free small Slurpee, plus a quarter-pound Big Bite hot dog for just $1 as 7-Eleven celebrates the "dog days" of summer. The Big Bite will also be $1 on July 18.

The chain said it plans to give away nine million free Slurpees Wednesday.

"Free Slurpee day may be the most anticipated day of the year for millions of 7‑Eleven customers and new customers alike," Raj Kapoor, 7‑Eleven senior vice president for fresh food and proprietary beverages, said in a press release. "7‑Eleven Day is a celebration, not only of our birthday, but more importantly, of our customers. I encourage everyone to look around the store, grab an old favorite like a Big Bite hot dog to enjoy with their free Slurpee drink or maybe try something they haven't. We have lots of delicious new choices in stores."

The featured Slurpee flavor is Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries.

No coupon is necessary, but 7-Eleven customers could experience long lines on free Slurpee day, held annually since 2002.
