Sarah's Inn Holiday Gift Project

Holiday Gift Project at Sarah's Inn Benefits Families Affected by Domestic Violence

Oak Park, IL (November 20, 2015) – From unsafe family gatherings to financial limitations, the holiday season brings its own set of challenges for families affected by domestic violence. That’s why local non-profit Sarah’s Inn, organizes its annual Holiday Gift Project for over 100 women and 300 children who are in need of support.

After equipping community partners to collect gifts and toys, the Holiday Gift Project ends with a one-day event for which Sarah’s Inn volunteers create a holiday gift shop for their clients. At the shop, women choose gifts for their children free of charge in a supportive environment. In addition, women are able to choose gifts donated by Oak Park business Alabasta Beauty’s Heirloom Piece Project and provide support to each other through group activities.
