Gregory T. Smith of Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd. will present the basic nuts and bolts of getting on the ballot and staying there. Mr. Smith will discuss recently enacted changes in the school district election process.
Under Illinois election law, the first day to circulate petitions for the April 2015 school board election is September 23, 2014 and the filing period is in December. The law also allows opponents to object to petitions that have been improperly filled out, circulated, or filed. Learn more at this FREE seminar.
