St. John Choristers Presents Fall Concert: 'Hooray for Hollywood Plus'

St. John Choristers, Forest Park, conducted by director Paul Lindblad will present their fall concert Hooray for Hollywood Plus on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, 305 Circle Ave., Forest Park.

The concert is open to the public. Admission is free. A free-will offering will be collected.

St. John Choristers is a choir for students in third through 12th grades. They will present an afternoon of musical delights. Featured will be the exquisite “Mass in C” by Baroque composer, Antonio Lotti, followed by a staged performance of “Hooray for Hollywood,” an energetic medley of many musical favorites from the movies.

In addition to choral music, vocal technique (breathing, posture), stagecraft, stage presence, self-awareness, improvisation, musicianship (ear training, music reading, sight singing), and principles of drama are taught.
