Suspect Swipes 9 Packages Of Batteries From Walgreens

OAK PARK, IL — Police are looking for a man who stole more than $150 worth of Duracell batteries from a Walgreens in Oak Park. The theft took place Tuesday just before 4:30 p.m. at the Walgreens located at 6400 W. Roosevelt Rd.

According to police, the suspect entered the store and then proceeded to fill a shopping basket with nine packages of Duracell batteries. He then exited without paying and fled northbound on Ridgeland. The batteries were valued at $167.91.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, standing 5'9" tall with a medium build. He is described as having a goatee and long hair pulled into a ponytail. The suspect was last seen wearing a red and black hooded jacket and driving a gray Nissan.
