Suspect Swipes Car With Jimmy John's Sign On Roof: Oak Park Police

A black 2005 Lincoln Town Car was stolen in the 1000 block of South Boulevard Saturdsay.

OAK PARK, IL — An suspect stole a black 2005 Lincoln Town Car that was topped with a Jimmy John's delivery sign in Oak Park Saturday night. Police say the theft took place in the 1000 block of South Blvd. at approximately 10:18 p.m.

The driver of the stolen Lincoln had been heading westbound on South Blvd. when he heard something struck his car, according police. At that time, the victim left his keys in the ignition and exited his vehicle to see where the sound had come from and to check for damage. The suspect then entered the Lincoln and sped off northbound on Home Avenue.

Police say the stolen vehicle also contained a wallet with an Illinois driver's license and a debit cards. The Jimmy John's topper was also included in the stolen items list, which brings the total estimated loss to approximately $4,500.
