Swastikas, 'White Power,' Sprayed Onto Forest Park Home: Cops
The woman, 58, wants to leave the graffiti up to bring attention to the actions of white supremacists.

FOREST PARK, IL -- A home in Forest Park was vandalized with the words "white power" and several swastikas, according to a report from Forest Park Review. The victim, an African-American woman, told police her townhouse in the 7700 block of Harvard was vandalized with the racist graffiti sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 9:30 a.m. the following morning.
The woman, 58, told Forest Park Review she has lived in the area for two decades and has never experienced something of this nature and believes it was done by someone who is not from her neighborhood. She also reportedly said she plans to leave the graffiti up to send a message that she will stand her ground against to prejudices she says have been empowered by Donald Trump's presidency.
She told Forest Park Review, "Our president, I think his way of governing our country has given people courage to be prejudiced of different types of things, be it your religion, your ethnic beliefs, your culture...." The victim added that she plans to have security cameras put in as a precaution.
