Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Offers Treatment to Athletes on Saturday Morning

Injured athletes can now receive orthopedic care on Saturdays from some of the nation’s top-ranked sports medicine physicians who are also team doctors for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox.

Beginning August 23, injured athletes won’t have to wait in long lines at an emergency room. The Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Sports Injury Immediate Care Clinic will be open for treatment or an injury consultation. The clinic is open 8 a.m. to noon, every Saturday (including holiday weekends). It is also open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (excluding national holidays) and is located at Prairie Medical Center, 2450 S. Wolf Road, 2nd Floor, Westchester, IL.

The Sports Injury Immediate Care Clinic provides fast and convenient care to young athletes who suffer from injuries ranging from common conditions, such as sprains, strains and muscle pulls; to more complex ones, including compound fractures, concussions and knee ligament injuries.

Athletes of all ages, ranging from Little Leaguers to weekend warriors, who experience swelling, pain or numbness, can receive a complete evaluation and treatment by MOR sports medicine physicians. On-site X-rays, bracing and casting will be available.
