Teen Steals Phone From Pedestrian In Oak Park: Cops
The teenager stole the phone from the victim's hands in broad daylight, police say.

OAK PARK, IL — Police in Oak Park are investigating an incident in which a cellphone was stolen from a pedestrian's hands as they walked in the 200 block of S. Ridgeland. The theft took place Wednesday just after 9 a.m., according to a police report.
Police say the victim was walking down the street with their phone in hand when they were approached by a male in his late teens. The teen reportedly grabbed the victim's iPhone 7 plus and fled on foot.
The total loss was estimated at $1,000.
