The Forest Park Farmers Market Opens June 22

The Forest Park Farmers Market debuts Friday, and organizers are promising a summer's worth of farm fresh, locally grown and responsibly raised goods.

The markets are scheduled to take place Fridays from 3:30-7 p.m. at The Grove, 7824 Madison St.

For Friday's debut, there will be a moon bounce, a performance by Whitey O'Day's one man band, giveaways from organizers of the Live Healthy Forest Park iniative and local chefs grilling up burgers, brats, veggies and more.

Market director Karen Dylewski said "we will also be giving out free fresh fruit snowcones when they mention where they heard about the farmers market."
