Thief Asks For Directions, Hits Victim, Steals Cash In Oak Park
Police say the suspect pretended to need directions before punching and robbing the victim.

OAK PARK, IL — Police in Oak Park say a thief pretended to need directions before hitting and robbing a victim Wednesday. The robbery took place just after 8 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Clinton.
According to police, the suspect came up to the victim on the sidewalk and asked for directions. The suspect then ripped the victim's sweatshirt, police say, and yelled, "Give me all you got."
The victim told police the suspect then hit them on the head with a closed fist and took $11 in cash from their pockets.
