This week provided stark examples of both -- the tragedy of Malaysian Airline's plane being downed and the triumph of the 45th Anniversary of Apollo 11s Landing on the Moon and those words, "one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind." Both have affected the world and both will provide opportunities for reflection and learning.
Robert Francis Kennedy said, " Tragedy is a tool for the living to gain wisdom, not a guide by which to live." May the world become wiser about the politics, hatred and convictions that lead people to perform such a heinous and cowardly act that inflicts pain and suffering on innocent people.
