Trio Invades Oak Park Apartment

An armed man and two accomplices forced their way into an Oak Park apartment and made off with cash and electronic gadgets belonging to a pair of roommates, police said.

The attack took place about 11 p.m. Saturday, when three men approached the back door of the apartment in the 700 block of Carpenter Street.

One of the intruders was carrying a gun and aimed the silver revolver at the man who answered the back door, according to a police report. 

All three men then forced their way inside and stole a DVD player, a pair of cell phones, an iPod, headphones and about $500 in cash, police reported.
