Undercover Prostitution Sting At Glen Ellyn Spa: Cops

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police arrested a woman for prostitution during an undercover sting at a Glen Ellyn spa in early October, marking the second such arrest at the facility this year. Bixian Xu, 42, of Flushing, New York, was charged with prostitution on Oct. 6 at Marigold Spa, 1202 Roosevelt Rd., after allegedly offering to perform a sex act on an undercover officer in exchange for money. Xu was also charged with practicing massage therapy without a proper license.

The Marigold Spa arrest was made via a joint effort with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office after several residents complained of illegal prostitution activity at the spa. The spa had remained open after an earlier prostitution charge there this year.

A woman was also arrested for prostitution at Marigold Spa on April 18, 2017. Onon Khurelbaatar, 31, or Rolling Meadows, was charged with prostitution and obstructing identification after she allegedly offered to perform a sex act on an undercover cop in exchange for payment. DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group (DuMEG) was also involved in the arrest.

In September, a prostitution arrest occurred at a nearby spa when officers from Glen Ellyn Police and DuMEG took a 42-year-old Lake In the Hills woman into custody on prostitution charges. Julian Deng was accused of offering a sex act for money at Sun Spa at 565 Roosevelt Rd., according to police.
